Garret began his work in the construction industry in his teens, working as a carpenter with his father in the family business. As his experience grew, he moved into estimating. He now develops material lists for UO’s building plans so home builders can understand the complete costs for their home. Garret has a great eye for detail in developing these lists. “I’ve had a lot of experience estimating costs for emergency situations, like a flooded hangar for a major airline or an equipment failure causing a hazardous materials situation in a hospital,” says Garret. “I know first-hand how important it is to get every item listed in full so the work can be done properly.”
